Following the Monday, April 15, 2013, Boston Marathon attacks, the LCMS is fully prepared to do one of the things she does best: show mercy to those who are suffering. LCMS Disaster Response has been in touch with New England Distract President Timothy Yeadon, district staff and LCMS congregations in the Boston area, and the Rev. The LCMS began reaching out Monday, Feb. 11, to LCMS families and the Hattiesburg, Miss., community after a tornado struck the city Sunday, Feb. 10. The storm caused major damage. According to early reports, it injured as many as 67 people and left up to 15 hospitalized.
