Pray for victims of Typhoon Bopha in the Philippines
As news is reaching the LCMS today about Typhoon Bopha, which struck the southern Philippines, we pray for the storm’s victims – for those who lost homes and possessions and most especially for those who lost loved ones. Our disaster response ministry staff have been in touch with our personnel in the area – who are safe – and with the Rev. James D. Cerdeñola, president of our partner church, The Lutheran Church in the Philippines. Our message to President Cerdeñola: His country and church are in our prayers, and we stand ready to assist as we are able.
Please join us in praying for the people affected by this storm. Lord, have mercy.
