As the wearied Northeast anticipates a Nor’easter with freezing temperatures, Rev. Derek G.Lecakes updated KFUO listeners this morning about what’s happening in the New York and New Jersey area following Superstorm Sandy. Lecakes, the pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Niskayuna, N.Y., and the LCMS Atlantic District Disaster Response Coordinator, tells how the LCMS is reaching out in mercy — both with “continuing our assessment, and as we begin the recovery phase.”
